Ausley McMullen, a full-service Tallahassee law firm, is seeking a full-time, legal assistant for the utility department. This is a busy practice area, with four full-time attorneys dedicated to it. The person selected will be assigned to two of these shareholders. Candidate must have at least three years’ experience in the legal field, preferably working in utilities and/or litigation. Candidate must have an ability to learn and excel with the technical aspects of Office products - including, but not limited to, track-changes in Word, highlighting and redacting in PDF, naming and navigating folders, and maintaining and sharing calendars in Outlook. Candidate must be proactive, reliable, detail-oriented, have strong communication skills (both verbal and written), an ability to multi-task and be a problem solver. Candidate must have a good work ethic, the ability to follow instructions, a willingness to take on new assignments as required, and must always comply with the policies and procedures of the firm. Additionally, the candidate must be a team player who exhibits good time management skills and maintains a good relationship with co-workers and clients.
Experience with Juris software a plus.
